FROM GOSS TO GLOSS

Ray Foulk is a collector just like the real life Jacques Doucet, (protagonist of Picasso's Revenge).

In the late sixties Ray began making small purchases of Goss china, such as this house.

Ray sold the china after building up a small collection. By 1979 he graduated with exponential ambition to collecting some of the most glamorous furniture pieces in the world. Having established a decorative arts gallery in the Fulham Road (London SW10) with partner Jenny Lewis, he organised and curated a landmark exhibition - the first one-man showing of the works of the great ébeniste and designer Émile-Jacques Ruhlmann. It was quite a leap and established the Foulk Lewis Collection as a leading player on the exchange market.
